Procurement Specialist | Global Financial Institution | London (Hybrid 2/3 days per week)

We’re partnering with a global organisation to hire a Procurement Specialist who will play a key role in delivering commercial, compliant, and cost-effective outcomes and procurement processes across the business.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced, and highly regulated environment—working directly with senior stakeholders and influencing key procurement decisions and implementing best practice procurement.
The Role
As a Procurement Specialist, you will support end-to-end procurement activity across multiple categories and business units. You’ll contribute to supplier selection and onboarding, lead contract negotiations, ensure regulatory compliance, and analyse spend data to uncover cost-saving opportunities. You will also help drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and support key strategic initiatives.
This role offers wide cross-functional exposure, working closely with colleagues in Legal, Risk, Finance, and Operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ procurement experience, including management of the overall procurement lifecycle in particular supplier management and onboarding
- Background in financial services or another regulated industry - involved in risk and compliance from a procurement perspective
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practice, sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and vendor due diligence
- Understanding of banking regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with UK delegate assignment terms and a basic understanding of tax considerations
- Proficiency with procurement tools and reporting, including ServiceNow
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage a wide range of stakeholders and bring them onboard with best practice and new procurement process
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a data-driven mindset
- Advanced presentation skills for delivering insights to senior management
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement
- High ethical standards and professionalism, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and market conditions
