Senior Procurement Manager – Category Management

Tarmac is looking for an exceptional Senior Procurement Manager to take ownership of Category Management across our UK operations.

As a pivotal leader within our Procurement function, you’ll:

Shape and deliver our Category Management strategy and governance across Tarmac.

Lead and coach a talented team managing a £500m+ annual spend across UK Logistics, Facilities, Estates, and General Services.

Spearhead our Fleet Management strategy for cars and vans—enhancing safety, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Partner with senior stakeholders to unlock value, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment with the wider CRH global procurement framework.

This role is about more than procurement — it’s about transforming how we deliver value to our business and customers.

A track record in category management or strategic procurement, ideally in engineering, fleet, or construction sectors.

Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with a passion for developing talent.

Advanced negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

CIPS qualification and a degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s desirable).
