Remote Procurement Manager - Global Sourcing

Our client, a rapidly expanding international firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Procurement Manager to lead their global sourcing operations. This critical role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from any location within the UK. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services essential to the company's operations. Your expertise in negotiation, contract management, and supply chain optimisation will be vital to this position.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a significant focus on international sourcing. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable. You must demonstrate exceptional negotiation skills, a deep understanding of global markets, and a proven ability to build and maintain strong supplier partnerships. Experience with e-procurement systems and robust analytical capabilities for cost modelling and supplier performance evaluation are essential. Excellent communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills are a must.

Key responsibilities include

Developing and executing strategic sourcing plans to meet business needs. Identifying, vetting, and selecting new suppliers globally. Negotiating favourable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers. Managing existing supplier relationships and performance monitoring. Ensuring compliance with procurement policies and ethical standards. Analysing market trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Developing and managing the procurement budget. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing requirements. Mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring business continuity.
