Our client, a rapidly expanding multinational corporation with diverse operational needs, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Buyer specializing in indirect spend. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to leverage your expertise from anywhere within the UK, while supporting procurement activities for their operations, including those based near Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK .

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for a wide range of indirect categories, including IT, facilities management, professional services, travel, and MRO. Conduct thorough market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier capabilities, and best value solutions. Lead complex sourcing events, including RFIs, RFPs, and contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and conditions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage supplier contracts, including performance reviews, risk assessments, and dispute resolution. Analyze spend data and identify opportunities for category consolidation and strategic sourcing initiatives. Mentor and guide junior members of the procurement team, sharing expertise and best practices. Stay abreast of market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in indirect procurement. Develop and maintain accurate procurement records and documentation. Qualifications:

Proven track record as a Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager with significant experience in sourcing indirect categories. Strong understanding of sourcing methodologies, contract law, and negotiation strategies. Demonstrated ability to deliver substantial cost savings and value for money. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Proficiency in e-procurement systems and ERP software. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment. MCIPS qualification or equivalent is highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
