Our client, a global leader in financial services, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Procurement Manager to lead their technology sourcing function. This critical role will be responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class procurement strategies for all technology-related expenditures, including hardware, software, cloud services, and IT consulting. You will be tasked with managing complex sourcing projects, negotiating favorable contracts, and fostering strong relationships with key technology vendors. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in IT procurement, a deep understanding of technology market trends, and a proven ability to drive cost savings while mitigating risks. You will lead a team of procurement professionals, providing mentorship and ensuring adherence to company policies and ethical standards. Strategic planning, market analysis, and robust supplier management will be central to your success. The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and to manage cross-functional teams effectively is essential. This role requires a proactive individual who can identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency within the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for technology goods and services. Lead complex negotiations with IT vendors to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and service levels. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requirements gathering to contract award and management. Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and best practices. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Mitigate supplier-related risks and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of procurement specialists. Oversee contract management, including renewals, amendments, and performance monitoring. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance to senior management. Ensure adherence to ethical sourcing practices and corporate social responsibility standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with a significant focus on technology sourcing. Proven track record of success in managing complex IT procurement projects and delivering substantial cost savings. In-depth knowledge of IT hardware, software, cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and IT services sourcing. Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial modeling skills. Experience with contract law and standard procurement terms and conditions. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment. CIPS or equivalent procurement certification is highly desirable. Experience with e-procurement tools and P2P systems.
