Our client, a global leader in its sector, is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Procurement Specialist to join their procurement department. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to our client's success from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for managing and executing procurement processes for a range of goods and services, ensuring optimal value and quality. Your duties will include conducting market research, identifying potential suppliers, and leading supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and pricing. You will develop and implement sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and monitor supplier performance against key metrics. A significant part of your role will involve conducting tender processes, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and making recommendations. You will ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, and work to mitigate supply chain risks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and cost analysis. Excellent analytical and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. You will be adept at utilizing procurement software and data analytics to drive informed decision-making and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. This role demands a self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to achieving departmental and company objectives. You will play a crucial role in optimizing the company's supply chain and ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply of essential goods and services. Qualifications

Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in a senior procurement or sourcing role. Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills. Experience with e-procurement tools and ERP systems. Excellent understanding of procurement processes and best practices. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote environment. MCIPS qualification is a plus.
