Category Buyer - Renewable Products Salary: £50,000 + bonus. Location: Watford (Hybrid working)

We're recruiting for a talented Category Buyer to join a leading UK retailer as they launch an exciting new renewable product category. This newly created role offers the opportunity to build and grow a category from the ground up, combining strategic planning, supplier management and cross-functional collaboration.

The Role

Reporting into the Sustainability Category Development Director, you'll:

• Develop and implement a customer-focused category strategy to drive sales and profit growth.
• Manage trading performance, pricing and promotional activity to maximise commercial results.
• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, negotiating terms and driving value through the supply chain.
• Lead category performance analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Champion renewable trends and collaborate across marketing, operations and logistics teams to deliver a market-leading proposition.

About You

You'll have proven experience in buying or category management, ideally within retail.Retail experience is highly desirable, with the ability to translate market and customer insight into actionable commercial plans.Strong analytical skills, supplier management expertise and commercial acumen are essential. You'll be confident working cross-functionally, resilient under pressure and able to deliver results at pace.
